The N Bar Ranch is located high in the mountains of Western New Mexico near Snow Lake in the Gila National Forest. The ranch is nestled in the tall Ponderosa Pines at 8,000 feet elevation in a small secluded valley. It is surrounded by the 3 million acre Gila National Forest and offers a variety of terrain from mountain forest trails through the high timber to beautiful grasslands cut by deep canyons, to alpine meadows filled with elk. Ride something new everyday! Don’t let the thought of summer in New Mexico scare ya off! At our high elevation it is cool summer days and chilly nights. Average July and August temperatures are 75-80 during the day and 45-50 at night! And no snakes or biting bugs.
The camp consists of seven cabins.
The cabins are two bed cabins with solar lights and gas heat.
CORRALS are wood board and metal panel constructed with seven 30x30 pens and one 30x60 pen and one 60x100 pen.
SHOWERHOUSE is really nice with a men’s and women’s room both with one shower, two sinks and plenty of hot water.
OUTHOUSES...the nicest you will ever see!
COOKHOUSE is a fun, comfortable, building right out of the old west with a large porch overlooking the valley and pastures. The building has a full kitchen [no microwave] and dining area. All cooking and eating utensils are provided.
Rate is $3,000 per week. This is for the use of the WHOLE CAMP! Not a per person or per cabin price...you get the WHOLE camp, up 12 people and horses. You bring your horse, your food, do your own cooking and make your own adventure. Pick any week from May through September and it is your week! Guide service is available.
WE ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE! We are about as remote as you can get in the lower 48 states, cell phones don’t work and there is no internet. Every once in awhile you need to disconnect to reconnect. Yes, we only have outhouses. Our insurance does not allow children under 16…don’t blame us, BLAME THE LAWYERS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES!!!! So that eliminates about 95% of folks but if you are some of the 5% who really want to unplug, disconnect, really get away from it all and ride some amazing country this is the place for you.
PLEASE NOTE…Our insurance company has agreed to allow dogs BUT...they are not allowed in
ANY of the buildings. Right out the camp gate is 3 million acres they can run on.
